Report: Update On Jeff Hardy's AEW In-Ring Return

Latest on Jeff Hardy's in-ring status

An update on Jeff Hardy's return to the squared circle in All Elite Wrestling has emerged.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion returned to AEW on the April 12 episode of Dynamite, making his first appearance on TV in almost a year to save Matt Hardy, HOOK, and Isiah Kassidy from an attack by The Firm.

Jeff has yet to wrestle since his return but it has been announced The Hardys will team with Isiah Kassidy and HOOK to take on Stokely Hathaway's stable in the Firm Deletion. Surprise guest appearances have already been teased for the match that will emanate from the Hardy Compound.

According to Fightful Select, Jeff wasn't expected to have an in-ring match before the Firm Deletion, as of the time of his return. No date has been announced for the Firm Deletion as of yet. Hardy recently underwent eye surgery that would stop him from being ready for in-ring action for "probably a few weeks."

Jeff Hardy has still appeared on AEW TV despite not wrestling, cutting a promo on last week's Rampage in which he noted that he was retired... from screwing up.
