After it was reported that people within Warner Bros. Discovery were interested in bringing WWE programming to their networks, it has since been noted that it would be a surprise if any WWE content ends up on the likes of TNT and TBS.

In the latest update, Fightful Select have reported that several WWE higher-ups hadn't heard anything about potential interest from WBD and there haven't been any talks between the parties.

Instead, Warner Bros. Discovery didn't indicate any ill will towards WWE but they are "gearing up to substantially expand their relationship with All Elite Wrestling from both a financial and content perspective." That enhanced relationship is believed to be down to the rumoured Collision show along with more possible content.

Collision - AEW's new Saturday night TV show - is rumoured to debut on Saturday, June 17 on TNT. The show will reportedly air between 8 pm and 10 pm ET and the first episode of Collision will feature the return of CM Punk, who will be the star of the Saturday night series.

WWE media rights deals for Raw and SmackDown are up in 2024 and the company are currently in an exclusive negotiating period with NBCUniversal and FOX. AEW's TV deal with WBD comes up at the end of 2023 but their TV partner is believed to have a one-year option.
