Report: Update On Lio Rush Following Shoulder Injury

More on Lio Rush's injury

IMPACT Wrestling seemingly won't be forced into vacating the X-Division Championship.

Lio Rush has been X-Division Champion since he defeated Chris Sabin for the gold at Slammiversary on July 15 but it emerged this week the 28-year-old had sustained a shoulder injury which led to fears that he could be set for a lengthy spell out of action due to his past serious shoulder issues that almost ended Rush's career.

The X-Division Champion won't be on the shelf for too long, though, and Haus of Wrestling has claimed that Rush's injury is "not serious" and he is only expected to be out of the ring for one month.

Rush sustained the injury in a match as part of the MCW Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup XXII on July 22. The former AEW and WWE star was taken to the hospital following the injury.

Rush is a new addition to IMPACT Wrestling, having only had two matches in the promotion before he won the X-Division Title. The Man of the Hour has also become a regular in New Japan Pro-Wrestling's junior heavyweight division, competing in the Best of the Super Juniors earlier this year.
