Report: Update On Naomi's WWE Absence

An update on Naomi (AKA Trinity Fatu) has emerged. 

Naomi has been away from WWE since she and Sasha Banks (AKA Mercedes Varnado) walked out of the May 16 episode of Monday Night Raw over a creative dispute with Vince McMahon. Sasha Banks has since received her release from WWE and she is reportedly set to make her NJPW debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17 ahead of a programme over the IWGP Women's Championship.

There had been no word on Naomi but Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that sources have mentioned Naomi "has to make a decision." 

The two-time SmackDown Women's Champion originally wanted to return to WWE with Banks as a tag team but that is clearly no longer an option. Instead, the three options open to Naomi are remain at home, go to a different promotion, or return to WWE without Banks. Which option Naomi is leaning towards is unknown at the time of writing. 

Naomi first signed with WWE back in 2009. Alongside her two reigns as SmackDown Women's Champion, Naomi is a former Women's Tag Team Champion, having held the gold with Banks.
