Report: Update On Plans For A New AEW TV Show

Latest on AEW's new TV show

In an update on plans for a new TV show from All Elite Wrestling, the promotion moved their planned taping of Rampage on July 14 in Regina, Saskatchewan to July 8 and the show is simply being billed as an 'AEW Live' TV taping as of the time of writing.

It was noted in early March that Tony Khan and Warner Bros. Discovery were in the process of finalising a deal for a third AEW TV show, possibly named AEW Collision, and speculation had suggested the new show would be at 6:05 pm ET on Saturday nights. The new date for the Regina taping is a Saturday.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Tony Khan didn't comment on the date change being linked to a new AEW TV show and the situation is being kept quiet within AEW. The new TV show is "close enough to a done deal", however, and is planned to air on Saturday nights. It will debut in July if not earlier unless "something major changes."

It is unknown if the new show will air on TNT or TBS but the deal is considered a good sign for the promotion's future with Warner Bros. Discovery, especially with AEW's TV deals for Dynamite and Rampage coming up at the end of 2023 or 2024.
