Report: Update On Potential WWE Return For The Rock

WWE are already thinking about their creative plans for after WrestleMania 39 but much remains a mystery when it comes to the 2023 edition of the Showcase of the Immortals. 

WWE reportedly want The Rock to make his WWE return in time for the event for a match with his cousin and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, but any appearance from the Hollywood star will ultimately depend on his movie schedule. 

If The Rock will return remains to be seen but Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio there is always a chance The Brahma Bull will make an appearance at the 2023 Royal Rumble pay-per-view. 

"There's so many different things that they can do at this Royal Rumble to build up to WrestleMania. Obviously everyone would expect Cody, there's always the chance of Dwayne, others that can be thrown in there," Meltzer said.

The 2023 Royal Rumble is set to emanate from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, January 28. Rumoured for a return at the event is Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare has been out of action since Hell In A Cell in June with a torn triceps.
