Report: Update On Rey Mysterio's Recovery From Medical Issue

Update on Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio hasn't appeared on WWE TV since he and son Dominik Mysterio were beaten down by Veer Mahaan on the Raw after WrestleMania 38.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion was scheduled to go one-on-one with Veer on the April 11 episode of Raw but Rey was instead replaced by Dominik, with reports noting The Master Of The 619 missed the show because of a medical issue.

Mysterio has since revealed that he and Dominik underwent a stem cell treatment on Monday, with a message on the drip noting the treatment will allow Rey to perform like he's 25-years-old.

The former WWE Champion also seemingly won't spend much longer away from WWE as Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rey 'should be healthy soon.'

Mysterio will then likely continue his programme with Veer Mahaan either on Raw or at WrestleMania Backlash.

The 47-year-old rejoined WWE in 2018 and he has spent the past couple of years teaming with Dominik Mysterio. They were briefly SmackDown Tag Team Champions in 2021, becoming the first father-son duo to win tag team gold in WWE.
