Report: Update On Roman Reigns' Next Challenger For Undisputed WWE Universal Title

Who will challenge the record-setting Roman Reigns next?

Roman Reigns is next scheduled to defend his WWE Universal Title at Crown Jewel on November 5, according to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Though WWE's next premium live event is Extreme Rules on October 8, The Tribal Chief will not be wrestling on the show. Dave Meltzer wrote that he was told the next challenger was neither Seth Rollins nor Kevin Owens, even though both matches have been teased in recent times.

He added that the pair of them being ruled out would seem to favour either Karrion Kross or Drew McIntyre being the next challenger.

That is unless they decide to bring in a big name like Brock Lesnar or Goldberg, though those matches have been 'done to death', with Reigns decisively beating both men this year.

Roman is currently in the middle of a record-setting run as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, having held the blue belt for 740 days and counting.

His last defence was against Drew McIntyre in the main event of last weekend's Clash At The Castle pay-per-view.
