Report: Update On Sting Following AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

Will Sting be in action on AEW Dynamite?

There has been an update on Sting following the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view on Sunday, June 25 in Toronto, Canada.

The Icon was in action on the show as he teamed with Darby Allin and Tetsuya Naito to defeat Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and Minoru Suzuki. The match featured a rough spot for Sting when he took a 630 Splash through a table from Sammy Guevara. Sting was reportedly supposed to roll out of the way and off the table but he failed to move in time which caused him to take the full brunt of the move from Guevara.

Despite the spot, Sting has told people that he is fine, Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Radio.

"I've heard nothing other than he's told people he's fine. He did the press conference and we all saw that and then he told people in the back that he was alright. Hopefully he is alright," Alvarez said.

Sting is still scheduled to wrestle on Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite as of the time of writing. The 64-year-old will team with Darby Allin to take on Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara in a Tornado Tag Team Match.
