Report: Update On Tessa Blanchard Possibly Signing With AEW Or WWE

Latest on Tessa Blanchard

Outside of a brief stint in WOW - Women of Wrestling that fell apart before she appeared on-screen, Tessa Blanchard has not been part of a promotion since she was fired by IMPACT Wrestling in the summer of 2020.

Blanchard was previously accused by several talents of being a bully in early 2020 and an alleged incident took place in April 2017 in which Blanchard spat in La Rosa Negra's face and used a racial slur towards her when both talents were in STARDOM. There has been plenty of speculation about Blanchard's pro wrestling future this month, however, after she posted a photo of herself and La Rosa Negra on Instagram that suggested they had reconciled.

Fans still shouldn't expect to see Blanchard pop up in a major promotion anytime soon. According to NoDQ, "several independent sources" noted AEW have shown no interest in Blanchard due to past negative experiences a number of talents have had with the former IMPACT World Champion. WWE have previously shown interest in Blanchard but they would want her to start in NXT as a developmental talent.

Neither WWE nor AEW have changed their stances on Blanchard and the perception that she is difficult to work with has not been altered. Things could change, though, if how she is viewed by talent improves or if either promotion suddenly becomes desperate for talent.
