Wardlow Reveals He & Goldberg Agreed To Have A Match If The Opportunity Arises

Wardlow wants a match with Goldberg

Two big meaty men want to slap meat in an All Elite Wrestling ring.

Speaking with WhatCulture at WrestleCon, Wardlow revealed he and Goldberg have agreed to face each other if the opportunity arises.

"Goldberg did walk through just a minute ago and we exchanged words. I don't know what's happening behind the scenes but we both mutually agreed that if the opportunity comes, we would love to see who really is next," Wardlow said.

Wardlow then named Goldberg as one of the greatest monsters in pro wrestling history, adding:

"Batista, Lesnar, Goldberg, I put those three in the same category of dream monster matches. I mean, we just heard Ward-low [chants], we haven't heard that since Goldberg so I think Wardlow vs. Goldberg, man, it doesn't get bigger than that. It does not get bigger than Wardlow vs. Goldberg."

Speculation has tipped Goldberg to debut in All Elite Wrestling at some point, possibly at All In. Speculation was only enhanced after Tony Khan mentioned he was "keeping an eye" on Goldberg's free agent status after it emerged Da' Man's WWE contract expired at the end of 2022. A match with MJF has been speculated on, which the AEW World Champion recently addressed in a since-deleted tweet

Goldberg recently revealed he is leaning towards self-promoting a four-city farewell tour so a match with Wardlow could also take place on one of those events.
