Report: Update On The Forgotten Sons' WWE Return

They haven't been seen since June...

Back in June, The Forgotten Sons were reportedly set to feud with The New Day and defeat the eight-time tag team champions for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Those plans were scrapped, however, after Jaxson Ryker posted a pro-Trump tweet during the height of the George Floyd protests. Ryker, Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake were subsequently pulled from TV and they haven't been seen since.

Fightful Select provided an update on The Forgotten Sons over the weekend and they noted WWE is considering bringing the tag team back to TV soon. WWE creative has been told to formulate a storyline for them but if Jaxson Ryker will be involved with the team upon their return is currently unknown. The former Gunner garnered major heat with the WWE locker room following his tweet in June.

Fightful also noted a WWE Hall Of Famer has been helping backstage with The Forgotten Sons' return. Edge provided advice to the team recently and The Rated-R Superstar has reportedly held "significant creative influence" since he tore his triceps at Backlash.
