Report: Update On Triple H's WWE In-Ring Status

What next for The Game?

Since his cardiac event in September of 2021, Triple H has largely remained away from WWE outside of an appearance on NBC to discuss the promotion's NIL programme. He hasn't returned to his role as head of NXT and as of last word, there were no plans for Triple H to come back anytime soon.

The Game also looks set to remain away from the squared circle.

After being asked about if Triple H could return at WrestleMania 38 for a match, Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that the former WWE Champion won't be stepping back in the ring in 2022.

"No, Triple H would be a terrible idea. His heart situation is, he can't. I don't want to say never because that's unfair because maybe he can do something but that would be a horrible idea for him and that's not gonna happen this year. There's no way," Meltzer said.

The 52-year-old Triple H hasn't wrestled since a June 2019 Japanese house show when he teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat Robert Roode and Samoa Joe.
