Mariah May with the AEW Women's World Title

An update has emerged on when Mariah May's contract expires following reports that the belief within AEW is May is heading to WWE and people within WWE know she wants to sign with the company.

Fightful Select has reported that May has a number of months still left on her deal with All Elite Wrestling. It was originally noted that May signed a two-year contract with AEW, and Fightful added that May was already signed to the promotion in August 2023 despite not debuting until November of that year.

PWInsider also reported that May has "significant time" left on her contract. One source believes May's contract could run through November 2025, while another individual believes her deal may have additional time beyond that.

May has not appeared on AEW TV since ending her programme with Toni Storm at March's Revolution pay-per-view. PWInsider noted there was a rumour within days of Revolution that May had asked for her AEW release but this has not been confirmed.

Fightful also noted that some are claiming Mariah May is simply "being wise and maximising her leverage and negotiating power." AEW are still hoping they can retain May.
