The legendary Satoshi Kojima has had a benign tumour removed from his head, with the multi-time world champion said to be ‘fine’ after the procedure.
The news was reported by Fightful with confirmation from Major League Wrestling, with Kojima currently part of MLW’s roster. Kojima last wrestled on April 5, competing in MLW’s Battle Riot after a stint back in home promotion New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
It’s certainly been a busy 2025 thus far for Kojima, with everyone’s favourite bread aficionado taking a pyro blast to the face after dropping the MLW World Heavyweight Championship to Matt Riddle at MLW’s Kings of Colosseum event in January.
Despite his setbacks, Kojima is currently one-half of the MLW World Tag Team Champions, holding the belts with Shigeo Okumura. It’s currently unknown how long Kojima will be out of action, and also unknown whether the titles will have to be vacated.
Everyone here at Cultaholic wishes Kojima all the best in his recovery, and will be raising a delicious bit of sourdough in tribute to the former Triple Crown, IWGP, and GHC Heavyweight Champion.
