Report: Update On When Tommaso Ciampa Will Make WWE Return

Tommaso Ciampa's return could be just weeks away

Fans might not have to wait much longer for Tommaso Ciampa to appear on their TV screens.

The two-time NXT Champion has been out of action since September of 2022, undergoing hip surgery one month later. Ciampa was on the receiving end of a push at the time, having regained his first name and challenged Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship shortly before his injury.

Ciampa has since been backstage at the May 29 episode of Monday Night Raw which fuelled speculation about when he could be back on TV. In the latest update, PWInsider noted Ciampa could be ready to return to WWE TV as soon as July.

When Ciampa does return to TV, reports have indicated the current plan is for the 38-year-old to reunite with Johnny Gargano and reform #DIY. The tag team was popular during their time together in NXT and they are former NXT Tag Team Champions.

Gargano hinted at reuniting with Ciampa and adding him to The Way during a May episode of Monday Night Raw. The faction currently consists of Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, and Dexter Lumis.
