Updated WWE SummerSlam plans for Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler
Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are set to finally clash at WWE SummerSlam on August 5, after Baszler turned on Rousey at Money in the Bank on July 1.
Whilst no stipulation has been announced for the match, a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter says the two are set to have a 'fight', but with Meltzer noting it’ll be more like an ‘MMA rules’ type of fight, somewhat obvious considering both wrestlers’ past in the sport.
WWE have flirted with MMA-type bouts in the past, with the Lion’s Den and Fight Pit matches portraying a sports entertainment take on mixed martial arts. Oh and Raw Underground too I suppose.
