Report: Veer Mahaan & Sanga To Be Pushed As Powerhouse Tag Team On WWE Main Roster

Indus Sher could become a powerful force to be reckoned with on WWE main

It was recently reported that Veer Mahaan and Sanga were to reunite for a run as a tag team, after Veer teamed up with his former Indus Sher partner at a recent NXT house show.

After initial reports suggested that Veer was being sent back to NXT, it was later suggested that the pair could be a main roster act as a team, and a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests they will be pushed as a ‘powerhouse’ tag team.

WWE’s main roster tag team is noticeably light on the powerhouse front, with The Viking Raiders currently out of action due to injury. In recent years, WWE have also tried AOP and The Bludgeon Brothers in powerhouse team roles, but neither act properly caught on with the WWE audience/Vince McMahon got bored of them.

Indus Sher originally teamed together on NXT, working many dark matches and house shows in 2019 before two televised matches in 2020 with Malcolm Bivens providing managerial duties.

After several months of inactivity as a team, Veer and Sanga (then known as Rinku and Saurav) teamed with Drew McIntyre to defeat Jinder Mahal and The Bollywood Boys at WWE’s Superstar Spectacle in January 2021 - a showcase event produced for the Indian market.
