Report: Vince McMahon Confident Daniel Bryan Will Return To WWE

WWE even has a return date in mind

Vince McMahon is confident Daniel Bryan will return to WWE, according to a report from WrestlingNews.co.

A source noted there is no bad blood between the boss and Bryan and McMahon reportedly believes The American Dragon will be back, "but he just needs time to recharge his batteries."

The company even has an idea in mind for Bryan's return and they want to have him back for a big match at SummerSlam. WWE is hoping to have fans back for The Biggest Party Of The Summer and then resume touring following the pay-per-view.

The multi-time world champion's contract expired following the April 30 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Bryan was banished from the blue brand on that show after losing to Roman Reigns, but WrestlingNews.co also noted WWE is open to The American Dragon working on any brand if he does come back, which includes a return to SmackDown to resume his feud with The Big Dog.

WWE has reportedly been pushing hard to re-sign The American Dragon since his contract expired and the company has continued to mention him on TV, something that is somewhat unusual within WWE.
