Report: Vince McMahon Not Back At WWE HQ Following Return

No Vince McMahon at WWE HQ

Despite his return to WWE, McMahon is not back in his old office at WWE headquarters, nor was he in Memphis, Tennessee for the January 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.

"Now he's back. It's business as usual. He hasn't returned to his office. He's not in Memphis tonight for the wrestling. I mean, the word is he's not [returning to TV]. The word is he's not even returning to his office. I mean, we'll see how long that lasts," Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.

McMahon returned to WWE last week, electing himself and former Co-Presidents George Barrios and Michelle Wilson to the WWE Board of Directors to be involved in upcoming media rights negotiations and pursue a sale of the organisation. Three directors were removed from the board as a result, while two others resigned. The day-to-day operations within the company will not change, WWE have claimed.

The company have hired JPMorgan to help pursue a sale. If WWE are sold, a deal will likely be concluded within the next three to six months, with Amazon, Comcast, Fox, Endeavor, Liberty Media, CAA, and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund tipped as potential buyers.
