Report: Vince McMahon Not Sold On WWE Star Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler is set to face off against Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Asuka, and Natalya inside the Elimination Chamber on Sunday, as she hopes to become the Number One Contender for Becky Lynch's Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36. The Queen of Spades is the hot favourite to win the match, as she has been prominently featured alongside Lynch in recent weeks.

Baszler's night could end in defeat on Sunday, however, as Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Vince McMahon is not completely sold on Shayna being good enough to to be in a headline match at The Showcase Of The Immortals. His negative reaction to her match with Kairi Sane on this week's episode of Raw has also thrown into doubt whether she will win the Chamber match.

Vince does have a history of changing his mind when it comes to Baszler, even though she has only been on the main roster since the Royal Rumble. She was originally booked to win the Women's Royal Rumble match, but a week before the show, McMahon changed his mind and chose Charlotte Flair instead.

Meltzer wrote: "But there was negativity and uncertainty regarding McMahon’s reaction to Baszler's match with Kairi Sane on Raw not getting the desired reaction and Baszler not coming off like a WrestleMania headliner."
