Report: Vince McMahon Rewrote This Week's WWE SmackDown Live At Last Minute

One of the best SmackDowns this year, it turns out...

Last week, WWE announced a guest commentary role for Shawn Michaels for this week's SmackDown Live.

However, when fans tuned into the blue brand's show on Tuesday, they were treated to Big E and Xavier Woods of The New Day on commentary duty, with Hall Of Famer Michaels moved to a Miz TV appearance instead.

It turns out there's a pretty hefty reason for this change and other switches that fans may have noticed throughout the night.

According to a report from those over at Wrestling Observer Radio, Vince Mcmahon arrived at the arena on Tuesday at around 4 pm, saw what was scheduled, and decided to rewrite the whole thing.

This saw WWE not reveal what Daniel Bryan's "career-altering " announcement is for the second week in a row, and Vince's son Shane eat Stone Cold Stunners and Spears from Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns respectively.

Dave Meltzer also noted that despite their angle being furthered on this week's SD Live, there are currently no plans to have Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz take place on the SummerSlam card.
