The worlds of professional wrestling and mixed martial arts received a seismic shake-up this past week, with Endeavor’s purchase of WWE bringing WWE and MMA giant UFC under the same umbrella.

As part of the sale, WWE's Vince McMahon will take up the position of Executive Chairman as part of this new merged company - tentatively called TKO - but a report from Wrestlenomics Brandon Thurston suggests McMahon will lose his majority voting control over WWE affairs when the merger is complete:

“When WWE merges with UFC, Vince McMahon will no longer have majority voting control over WWE or other entities within the new company. We estimate he'll hold about 18% of all shares,” revealed Wrestlenomics on Twitter.

McMahon is notorious for doing things his way, with many elements of WWE’s presentation catered to McMahon’s whims. Indeed, when McMahon returned to WWE as Executive Chairman earlier in 2023 to facilitate a sale of the company, reports emerged suggesting that McMahon was threatening to scupper potential deals that were set up without his involvement.
