Report: Vince McMahon "Very Hands On" At WWE SmackDown Taping

Vince McMahon was firmly in control at the latest WWE SmackDown taping

It’s WrestleMania season, and as the busiest and most important time on the wrestling calendar, it’s no surprise to hear reports that Vince McMahon was ‘very hands on’ at the latest SmackDown taping.

The report comes via PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, who wrote that McMahon chopped, changed, and shifted several segments throughout the day leading up to the show, and was reportedly very hands on with the show-closing brawl between WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey, with the segment pre-taped and inserted into the broadcast.

The news should come as no surprise, as the 76-year-old McMahon has shown little signs of slowing down in his advancing years, with a prominent on-screen role figured into WrestleMania 38 as McMahon’s on-screen protege Austin Theory is set to take on SmackDown colour commentator Pat McAfee, with McMahon himself believed to be playing a physical role in the match.

McMahon last wrestled a full match at WrestleMania XXVI in 2010, losing to a returning Bret Hart in a No Holds Barred match.
