Report: When Jim Ross Will Return To AEW: Dynamite Revealed

Good Ol' JR is coming back...

Since the coronavirus pandemic forced All Elite Wrestling to run shows behind closed doors, Jim Ross has only commentated on one full episode of Dynamite back on March 18. He did call the action for Jon Moxley vs. Jake Hager for the AEW World Championship, but the commentary was recorded at his home in Oklahoma.

Good Ol' JR will be returning to our TV screens very soon, however, as Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ross will be back at the announcers' desk when Dynamite tapings resume on May 6. To avoid travelling between Jacksonville and Oklahoma, JR will stay in Florida until at least May 27.

This comes after it emerged AEW will be resuming live tapings and broadcasting a combination of live and taped content. The May 13 episode of Dynamite will be taped in advance, likely on May 7, but the May 20 and May 27 episodes will air live, as will the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view on May 23.
