Night two of Fyter Fest 2020 opened with "Hangman" Adam Page and Kenny Omega vs. Private Party for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. The two teams battled back and forth for 15 minutes and Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy almost left Daily's Place with the titles after Quen hit Page with the Shooting Star Press. It wasn't to be for the challengers, however, as Omega and Page picked up the win with the Buckshot Lariat-V Trigger combination.

Ratings were seemingly on the young promotion's mind as Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the Tag Team Title match opened the show because AEW thought it was really important for them to start off with a "hot" match. The promotion has been beaten by WWE NXT in the Wednesday Night Wars in the past couple of weeks, and they faced an uphill battle going up against Adam Cole vs. Keith Lee in a Winner Take All match after Jon Moxley vs. Brian Cage was moved to July 15.

Meltzer said: "They wanted to open hot. It was real important to them to do that."
