2020 has been an interesting year for Otis as he has become one of the breakout stars in WWE. The SmackDown Superstar captured the hearts and minds of fans during his storyline with Mandy Rose, and he was victorious in his feud with Dolph Ziggler after defeating him at WrestleMania 36 and on May 1. The Master Of The Caterpillar's rise up the card only continued after the rivalry concluded and he went on to capture the Money In The Bank briefcase on May 10.
As with everything in WWE, Vince McMahon is the man behind Otis's push and Fightful Select recently reported Mr. Money In The Bank is a personal favourite of the boss's. Fightful even noted Otis is a "total Vince McMahon project" which is why he has been rapidly pushed up the card in recent months. The ex-Dozovic's tag team partner Tucker has also reportedly impressed Vince and both Superstars have made "positive impressions" in the locker room for some time.
Previous reports have noted McMahon was heavily involved in Otis's storyline with Mandy Rose, and most of his material on TV was written by the chairman who likes The Master Of The Caterpillar's character.
