Report: Why WWE Haven't Announced WrestleMania 43 Date Yet

WWE are yet to reveal the date for WrestleMania 43 in 2027, but an announcement could be coming soon.

In prior years, WWE have announced the location and date of WrestleMania way in advance of the show. Whilst it has long been known that Mania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an official date has yet to be revealed. However, a report from Fightful Select suggests an announcement could be coming soon, with WWE set to return to Saudi Arabia in early November for Crown Jewel.

The build to Crown Jewel is set to begin in Riyadh this week, with sources hoping the WrestleMania date will be announced ‘around that event, if it hasn’t been announced officially by then already’. WWE sources did allegedly note that ‘WrestleMania being in conjunction with Saudi Arabia is why the date was announced so late’.

Dignitaries from Saudi Arabia have recently been to WWE headquarters for kick off meetings for WrestleMania XLIII, with those on the Saudi end of proceedings wanting to make the event as big as possible. It’s assumed the announcement of the Mania date will itself be a big event.

Ongoing issues in the Middle East have caused concern within WWE, with the US States Department recently updating its Level 3 travel advisory for Saudi Arabia, advising Americans to “reconsider travel” to the region due to the risk of Iranian drone and missile targeting of American interests. Whether these issues will affect Crown Jewel or indeed WrestleMania 43 remain to be seen.
