Shun Skywalker Considering Vacating NJPW World TV Title, Exiting NJPW

Shun Skywalker may have recently won the NJPW World TV Title, but they’re already considering vacating it, and exiting the promotion.

So said the mysterious Skywalker, with the House of Torture member saying the following to Tokyo Sports:



"As a result, I have already achieved the goal I set when I returned from the heavens. I am considering immediately relinquishing this belt, which was like an extra that I never really needed in the first place, and I think I no longer have any use for New Japan Pro-Wrestling,” said Skywalker. 

Skywalker continued, “Considering the current level of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, I’m more worried than anyone right now about whether it’s good for the wrestling world for Shun Skywalker to stay and continue fighting. If you look around the world, there must be a pro wrestler who is worthy of fighting Shun Skywalker. It’s entirely possible that I’ll go to the ring where that person is. I’ll have to travel by air.”

Skywalker joined New Japan Pro-Wrestling in August 2026 after a ten-year run in DragonGate, debuting at the final night of the G1 Climax. Skywalker’s first singles match in NJPW came on September 27 at Destruction in Kobe, with Skywalker dethroning Konosuke Takeshita as NJPW World TV Champion. Skywalker has also held titles in MLW.
