WWE NXT will be going back on the road in early November as WWE officially announced the Wednesday, November 6 episode of NXT will emanate from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

"The city of Philadelphia has a rich wrestling history, and we are excited to bring a night of unforgettable action to such a storied venue," WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels said.

WWE NXT usually airs on Tuesday nights but the show will move to Wednesday due to CW affiliates covering the 2024 US presidential election that takes place on Tuesday, November 5.

News coverage is expected to dominate the ratings on November 6 but NXT moving also means the show will go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, this is why WWE decided to book the 2300 Arena.

"Since they are the number one show on CW, the decision was made to move them to Wednesday head-to-head with AEW. Because it's head-to-head with AEW, they were looking for a hook and the hook is going to the old ECW Arena. It makes a lot of sense," Meltzer said.

Philadelphia's 2300 Arena was affectionally known as the ECW Arena during Extreme Championship Wrestling's existence and the arena hosted many of the promotion's major moments.
