Report: WWE & BT Sport Have Major Plans For NXT Europe

Latest on WWE NXT Europe

NXT Europe will seemingly receive a big push when the new brand launches in 2023.

WWE had previously had a permanent presence in Europe with NXT UK, with shows being taped from BT Studios in London, England. The brand was shuttered in August, though, with many of NXT UK's titles being unified with NXT belts at Worlds Collide in September.

Instead, WWE will launch NXT Europe next year with a new emphasis on the European continent instead of a very UK-centric product.

When in 2023 the new brand will launch is unknown but Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE, BT Sport and any other potential European broadcast partners have "major plans" for NXT Europe. What those major plans will be was not revealed.

BT Sport have been WWE's UK TV partner since early 2020.

The NXT Europe roster will also be determined shortly before the brand launches next year. Both Drew McIntyre and GUNTHER have expressed an interest in being involved.
