Report: WWE Backstage Reaction To Ricky Saints Signing Revealed

The signing of Ricky Saints (fka Ricky Starks) has been a major addition to WWE NXT, with the former All Elite Wrestling star already making a beeline for the NXT Championship scene.

Saints’ defection to WWE was long on the cards, with the former AEW World Tag Team Champion having shown signs of discontent over the previous year, with his absence from all AEW TV noticeable. Life in WWE so far is seemingly good for Saints, with a report from Dr. Chris Featherstone on Backstage Pass suggesting that Saints has been well received backstage in the company, whilst his meteoric rise in NXT has not seen him garner any heat.

Seen by many as a future main eventer during his time in AEW, it’s hoped that Saints will kick on in NXT and eventually main roster WWE the way he wasn’t able to under Tony Khan’s watch. It’s also no secret that Saints has friends in high places in WWE, with Saints notably having close friendships with CM Punk and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

Saints recently made his NXT in-ring debut, picking up a tag team win with Je’Von Evans over Ethan Page and Wes Lee.
