Report: WWE Believe They Could "Clone" Sasha Banks
Report suggests that those within WWE see Sasha Banks as replaceable
WWE believe they could easily replace Sasha Banks, according to a new report.
Banks (along with Naomi) walked out of WWE at a Raw taping last month (while reigning as the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions). There have been unconfirmed reports this week that The Boss has been released by the company.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast recently discussed the situation and spoke about Sasha's value to WWE, after first confirming that The Boss' attorneys were working on getting her out of her WWE contract.
According to Zarian:
"In their [WWE's] minds, they could clone Sasha with somebody else and have her fit that role, and no problem. It is now a role you are playing. It's a role with mid-level actors. Everybody's a mid-level actor, except for a Roman Reigns, or a Brock Lesnar, or a Cody Rhodes. Those guys are the stars".
He added that, while the two sides could potentially reach an agreement, he does not currently see Banks returning to WWE.
