WWE's plans for the Men's Elimination Chamber match at Saturday night's pay-per-view/premium live event have reportedly been changed.
Reports have noted that John Cena was scheduled to win the Men's Chamber match and punch his ticket to an Undisputed WWE Title match with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, which had been planned since late 2024. A new report today from Dr. Chris Featherstone on Backstage Pass, however, has claimed that WWE's current plans are for Drew McIntyre to win the Elimination Chamber.
Why WWE have opted not to have Cena win the Chamber is unknown, but it was noted that the "game plan completely changed" following The Rock's return on the February 21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown in which he set up an angle with Cody Rhodes, asking Rhodes to be his champion.
Outside of John Cena and Drew McIntyre, the Elimination Chamber will feature Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Damian Priest, and CM Punk. Elimination Chamber will emanate from Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with the show getting underway on Saturday night at 7 pm ET. In the UK, the show will begin on Sunday at 12 am GMT.
