Report: WWE Considering Title Unification Match

A WWE title unification match could be on the way

A set of WWE titles could be set to disappear from existence.

According to FightFans, Shayna Baszler & Ronda Rousey vs. Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn to unify the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles and NXT Women's Tag Team Championships has been discussed within WWE. There is no word on if WWE will go through with booking the match, though.

The source told FightFans: "Rousey/Baszler vs. Alba/Isla in Unification has been discussed internally recently but no word if they going to go through with it yet."

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler have been WWE Women's Tag Team Champions since winning a Four-Way for the vacant belts on the May 29 episode of Raw. Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, meanwhile, have held the NXT straps since Stand & Deliver over WrestleMania 39 weekend.

Dawn and Fyre have been called up to the main roster as part of the WWE Draft since their title win, though, and they now find themselves on Friday Night SmackDown. Unlike Indi Hartwell, who vacated the NXT Women's Title after moving to Monday Night Raw, WWE have decided to keep the tag titles on Dawn and Fyre.
