Report: WWE Disappointed With NXT 2.0

A lot of changes, a lot of disappointment

WWE NXT has undergone wholesale changes over the last four months, with the Tuesday night show having moved completely away from the black-and-gold brand era and back towards being a developmental show with new Superstars like Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Cora Jade and Von Wagner at the forefront.

Much of Triple H's vision for the brand has also been removed along with behind the scenes personnel close to him and Bruce Prichard and Christine Lubrano now oversee NXT creative.

Despite having gone through all the changes, WWE are reportedly disappointed with NXT 2.0, according to WrestleVotes.

"Internally WWE is said to be disappointed w/ NXT 2.0 in its first 4 months. Source said they thought more fans would gravitate towards the newer stars quicker than they have. Could it just be too much, too fast? Either way, I don't expect any changes to the concept... just yet," they tweeted.

The likes of Bron Breakker and Cora Jade have proven to be popular with fans watching the show, but viewership hasn't increased since the revamp, with NXT's record-low rating on USA in the key 18-49 demographic having been tied yet again on Tuesday, January 19.
