Report: WWE Draft Set For Later This Year

A shake-up of the main roster is coming after SummerSlam

WWE is planning to shake up the main roster following SummerSlam.

According to a report from Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, this year's WWE Draft is currently scheduled to take place on the August 30 edition of Monday Night Raw and the September 3 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

This is similar to last year when WWE planned to hold a draft in late August, but the company changed plans multiple times before they finally settled on October 9 and October 12.

A number of big names were on the move in last year's draft as the likes of Seth Rollins, Bianca Belair and Kevin Owens headed to SmackDown while The Fiend, Braun Strowman and Sheamus moved to Raw. The biggest move of the draft, though, was the separation of The New Day as Big E remained on SmackDown while Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods switched to Raw.

WWE has had a penchant for drafts in recent years and if the company goes ahead with the planned dates, it will be the company's fourth shake-up of the roster in just over two years.
