WWE announced last week that the next NXT TakeOver is just around the corner and will take place on Sunday, October 4. No matches have been announced for the show yet but two matches on this week's NXT will have TakeOver implications. Five men will face off in a Gauntlet Eliminator Match to determine the number one contender for Finn Balor's NXT Championship and a Battle Royal has been scheduled to crown the number one contender for the NXT Women's Title.

NXT has remained at Full Sail University throughout the coronavirus pandemic but this could be set to change on October 4. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has talked about holding the next TakeOver at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. No final decision has been made as of yet, however.

WWE has broadcast all main roster programming from the ThunderDome since August 21 after the company agreed to a two-month residency. Two more pay-per-views are set to be broadcast from the arena before the residency expires on October 31.
