Report: WWE Have 'No Real Plans' For Brian Pillman Jr. Beyond Recent Vignettes

'No real plans' for Brian Pillman Jr. within WWE

WWE may not have any long-term plans for one of their new signings.

Following an unofficial hiring freeze that had been in place for much of the year due to the merger with UFC, WWE have begun bringing in new talents again over the past several weeks, with the likes of Nia Jax, Jade Cargill, and Brian Pillman Jr all signing with the company. Jax has since been featured prominently on Monday Night Raw around the Women's World Title picture, while Jade Cargill is set for a major push whenever she does surface on WWE TV.

Brian Pillman Jr. is set to appear on WWE NXT, with vignettes airing on Tuesday nights in recent weeks that have featured WCW Saturday Night and the Cincinnati Bengals. Pillman's father, Brian Pillman Sr, spent much of his career in WCW and was a Cincinnati Bengal before he transitioned to professional wrestling.

Although these vignettes have been airing on TV, WWE seemingly haven't produced any long-term creative for Pillman Jr. According to Haus of Wrestling, they were given the impression that "no real plans for the second-generation star have been discussed beyond his buzzy vignettes."

There is no word on why WWE haven't produced any concrete plans for Pillman, but past reports have indicated that WWE will allow him to settle into the Performance Center system before he makes his WWE TV debut.

Pillman had previously been a part of All Elite Wrestling but he exited the promotion during the summer after his contract expired.
