Report: WWE Held Interest In Moose Prior To Him Re-Signing With IMPACT Wrestling

WWE reportedly wanted IMPACT Wrestling star Moose before he signed a new deal

Moose removed all doubt concerning his future earlier this Summer by signing a ‘history-making’ new deal with IMPACT Wrestling.

Prior to putting pen to paper, there was speculation that the former IMPACT World Champion could depart the company, with WWE being a viable destination. A new report from Fightful Select has shed a little more light on the story, with WWE believed to have shown interest in potentially bringing Moose into the company, echoing 2021 when then WWE executive Canyon Cemen reportedly reached out to Moose about the two sides working together.

Moose’s previous IMPACT deal was set to expire in June 2023, but IMPACT made moves to tie the big man down, with it believed that the ‘Wrestling God’ will be with the company through at least 2026.

A former offensive tackle in the NFL, Moose has been with IMPACT/TNA since 2016, where he has reigned as IMPACT World Champion, the self-proclaimed TNA World Champion, and the IMPACT Grand Champion on two occasions. Moose was also victorious in the 2021 Call Your Shot Gauntlet.
