Report: WWE In Talks To Sign El Hijo De Dr. Wagner Jr.

WWE could be set to sign another major luchador only days after Penta made his Monday Night Raw debut.

According to Dr. Chris Featherstone on Backstage Pass, WWE are in talks with El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. There is no word on how advanced talks are but the son of Dr. Wagner Jr. has retweeted a number of posts on X/Twitter suggesting he could be heading to WWE.

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. recently finished up with Pro Wrestling NOAH and announced that he was now a free agent. He had his final match with NOAH on January 11.

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. has been wrestling since 2010. He made his debut with Pro Wrestling NOAH in 2019 and became a two-time GHC Tag Team Champion with former WWE star Rene Dupree. Wagner had been full-time with NOAH since 2022 and was presented as one of the promotion's top stars, reigning as the GHC Heavyweight Champion for 90 days in 2024 before he dropped the belt to Kaito Kiyomiya. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. also held the GHC National Championship for 352 days from November 2022 until October 2023.
