Report: WWE Interested In Partnership With Disney

WWE working with Disney is seen as a win-win

There appears to be mutual interest in forming a partnership between WWE and Disney.

WWE's media rights in the United States are set to expire in October 2024 and the exclusive negotiating windows with USA Network for Raw and FOX for SmackDown have expired, meaning WWE can take their top two shows to the open market.

Reports this week noted that one party interested in acquiring the media rights was Disney, who would be looking to put Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown on FX. According to WrestleVotes, WWE would also be open to working with Disney.

"Regarding the TV rights negotiations, there is big time interest from WWE in a Disney partnership. Not to say the other parties involved aren't enticing, but Disney is viewed as a win win if that's ultimately the decision," WrestleVotes tweeted.

Other names mentioned as possible suitors for Raw and SmackDown were Amazon Prime Video, Apple, and Warner Bros. Discovery. Apple and WBD are considered dark horses, however, while Amazon is expected to be "in the talks for WWE."
