Report: WWE Interested In Signing FTR

WWE want FTR back

WWE are interested in a couple of Top Guys.

According to Fightful Select, WWE have internally expressed interest in re-signing FTR.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler joining WWE anytime soon looks extremely unlikely, though, as AEW told Fightful that FTR have over a year remaining on their current deals with Tony Khan's promotion. Fightful initially noted that The Top Guys' contracts were 'technically available to expire this summer' but AEW had an option year they could activate.

Harwood and Wheeler both have a history with WWE and they initially started teaming together as The Revival soon after Wheeler joined the company's developmental system in 2014. They quickly cemented themselves as one of the best tag teams in the organisation and became two-time NXT Tag Team Champions before winning the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships on the main roster.

The Revival became unhappy in WWE, though, and they requested their releases from the company several times before they were eventually let go on April 10, 2020.

FTR then joined All Elite Wrestling and they have remained with the promotion ever since.

As well as being former AEW World Tag Team Champions, Harwood and Wheeler are the reigning AAA World Tag Team Champions and ROH World Tag Team Champions.
