All Elite Wrestling and WWE NXT will be going head-to-head over Memorial Day weekend.

AEW have already announced that Double or Nothing will once again be held over Memorial Day weekend, with the show taking place at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday, May 25.

AEW will face plenty of competition over the weekend, though, as the next Saturday Night's Main Event is scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 24 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. That won't be the only competition for AEW, though, as WrestleVotes has reported on WrestleVotes Radio that NXT Battleground 2025 is scheduled to be held in Tampa on Sunday, May 25.

"We are told through sources that the location for the next Saturday Night's Main Event has been confirmed, with the selection being Tampa, Florida and the Amalie Arena, with the date of that show being May 24th. In addition, we can break the news that the night following Saturday Night's Main Event on Sunday, May 25th, NXT will present the Battleground PLE, also from Tampa, Florida, with rumours that Monday Night Raw on the 26th will also take place from Tampa as well," WrestleVotes said.

At least for Double or Nothing, AEW's new strategy of announcing pay-per-views much closer to the event to avoid WWE counterprogramming the show has failed.
