Report: WWE NXT Moving To Tuesday Nights From April 13

The Wednesday Night Wars look to be over

The Wednesday Night Wars look to be coming to an end less than two years after they began. According to a report from the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, WWE NXT will be moving to Tuesday nights from April 13, 2021.

They tweeted: "Hearing from a very reliable source that NXT will be moving to Tuesdays starting 4/13. Should be announced fairly soon."

Since the war began in October 2019, NXT has often struggled in the ratings against AEW Dynamite, with the TNT show often coming out on top in overall viewership and in the key 18-49 demographic.

The black and gold brand experienced greater success when running unopposed, though. Two episodes of NXT aired on Tuesday night in early September 2020 and resulted in a 25 percent boost in the ratings. The WWE brand also received similar boosts when airing on Wednesday nights unopposed to AEW Dynamite.

WWE reportedly first discussed moving NXT to another night back in the summer of 2020 but conversations went nowhere after Vince McMahon "shut down" talks of a move in July.
