Report: WWE NXT Place Cameramen In The Ring For Matches

Ref bumps incoming?

Camera operators are sporadically injured on WWE TV, with their bumps often being saved for high-profile matches like at WrestleMania 25 when The Undertaker took out a cameraman during a dive to the floor in his fight with Shawn Michaels.

Injuries to camera operators could become a regular occurrence on Tuesday nights, though, unless WWE's new production technique can be perfected.

According to PWInsider, WWE camera operators filmed matches while stood inside the squared circle on Tuesday's episode of NXT, leaving the operators to try and avoid getting in the performers' way.

Fans spotted operators in the ring for several matches on NXT including the opening contest between Grizzled Young Veterans and The Creed Brothers. Other matches on the show included Pete Dunne vs. Draco Anthony and Mandy Rose vs. Kay Lee Ray for the NXT Women's Championship.

If this new production technique will become a regular occurrence to tape WWE TV ultimately remains to be seen. Kevin Dunn's influence on NXT has seemingly grown, though, and the sheer number of camera cuts has been evident in recent months.
