Six years after he returned to the company, Shane McMahon was "out" of WWE earlier this week following heat on The Boy Wonder at Saturday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

McMahon was heavily involved in producing the Men's Rumble and he was reportedly confrontational backstage and focused on his own role in the match which led to bubbling issues with his father Vince McMahon reaching their "last straw," especially as many of Shane's ideas were rejected by the WWE chairman.

Immediately after news of Shane's departure emerged, fans started to joke about the 52-year-old turning up in All Elite Wrestling.

WWE personnel, however, believe AEW President Tony Khan needs to be warned against bringing in McMahon, according to PWTorch's Wade Weller.

"People in WWE are letting me know that someone should warn Tony Khan what he's in for if he brings Shane in, because the sense of entitlement, and I don't know if ego is the right word, that Shane would bring along with him in a company that isn't WWE would probably be amplified compared to how he was acting on Saturday, which was just basically out of control," Keller said.

While McMahon may be "out" of WWE, Shane will remain busy as Executive Chairman of Ideanomics, an electric vehicle company.
