Report: WWE Planning Mega Push For LA Knight

An LA Knight mega push is coming

LA Knight's recent push on WWE TV could be set to reach another level.

Knight has been one of the most popular talents on WWE TV throughout 2023 and his booking initially didn't reflect that but WWE have begun to position Knight in more high-profile spots this summer. This included a pay-per-view match with The Miz at Payback with John Cena as the special guest referee. Cena raised Knight's hand on the entranceway to give him the rub following the Payback match.

Reports for months have indicated that WWE planned to push Knight when the time is right but the plans for the former Eli Drake may have been upgraded, with Dave Meltzer reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Knight is expected to receive a mega push going forward due to his status as a ratings draw and his very strong merchandise sales.

The former IMPACT World Champion could also be sticking around for the long haul, with reports today noting that Knight and WWE are in talks over a new long-term deal. Knight has been a part of WWE since he returned to the company in 2021.
