Report: WWE Planning Releases Every 90 Days

WWE cuts could become frequent and pre-planned

It’s become a sad inevitability with WWE that talent releases are to occur more frequently than ever before.

The company recently released multiple talents from NXT 2.0, including the likes of Dakota Kai and Dexter Lumis, and a report from Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer indicates that WWE could be making cuts every 90 days going forward:

“I think we are going to be seeing more and more of this when it comes to NXT is people they are just gonna make decisions that they are bringing a lot of new people in. If you don’t make progress there, they are gonna get rid of you, in most cases,” said Meltzer.

Meltzer brought up WWE releasing Harland (Parker Boudreaux) as an example, with Harland a much touted signing ahead of his NXT debut. With Harland it’s believed he was let go as WWE didn’t think he was improving at a rate they would like or expect, with Meltzer saying this reasoning could be applied going forward with WWE basically giving talent 90 days to improve or face the chopping block.
