Kazuchika Okada Open To Kenny Omega Rematch

Could we be getting Okada vs. Omega V?

Even before AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door was announced, wrestling fans the world over were clamouring for one more match between Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega.

The pair have wrestled each other in NJPW singles bouts on four occasions, and during an interview with Sports Illustrated, Okada seemed open to facing Omega once more:

“Is there still unfinished business there?” Okada said. “I’ve already wrestled a lot of great opponents. It was an honour for me last month to team with Tatsumi Fujinami and wrestle against a legend like Yoshiaki Fujiwara. There are a lot of truly great professional wrestlers out there and a lot of possible dream matches. If running me and Kenny back really is a dream match, well then that’s definitely a direction to take.”

The matches between the two in 2017 and 2018 are some of the most critically acclaimed matches of modern times, with some publications claiming the series as the greatest in wrestling history. Currently Omega has two wins over Okada, Okada has one win, and the two wrestled to a time limit draw at Dominion 2017.
